KARIBU KENYA!

FAQ

1. What is the best season for a safari?

You can enjoy a safari in Kenya throughout the whole year.

2. Which additional services can Wild Lion Tours & Safaris provide?

  • Taxi services
  • For a small fee, we gladly overtake the e-Visa application process for you. Please get in contact with us at least 2 weeks before your arrival
  • We can organize your vacation package (flights, taxi service, hotel, safari, etc.)
  • We help you to prepare your stay in Africa with plentiful information about the country, culture and people
  • We will be your contact person during your time in Africa. Whenever you have some questions, we will be there for you!

3. Is it guaranteed to spot the "Big Five" during the safari?

As animals move freely, it cannot be guaranteed to spot specific animals. Kenya's national parks are no zoos, actively searching and finding wild animals in their natural environment is part of the excitement of a safari. Our safari guides are however designed and operated in a way that grants the best opportunities for spectacular game viewing. In some parks, you can be almost sure to spot specific animals: Tsavo East and Amboseli (Elephants), Lake Nakuru (Rhinos).

4. Are all safaris covered by AMREF Flying Doctors?

Safety is a top priority. Therefore, we have contracts with AMREF Flying Doctors for all our safari clients. AMREF Flying Doctors is the leading provider of fixed wing air ambulance services in Africa. Click here to learn more about AMREF Flying Doctors.

5. Which vehicle types do you use on your safaris?

Our standard safari vehicle is a minivan with a pop-up roof for easy photography during game drives. We also use pop-up roof 4x4 land cruiser jeeps. This is an upgrade on request and comes at an extra cost. Both vehicles are sufficiently adequate for safari tours. It is really a question of personal preference and price.

6. Do you organize shared safaris or private safaris?

Our safari tours are private. Each booking will have their own safari vehicle and guide. In case you are specifically looking for a shared safari, you can always contact us and we see what we can do.

7. What if I have special dietary requirements?

If you have any allergies or special dietary requirements, please let us know before booking! Most places will be able to prepare your preferred meal options.

8. What if I am a person with special needs? Can I participate on your tours/safaris?

We cannot guarantee that all safari accommodation and other facilities will be available for e.g. wheelchair passengers, however we will do our best to find the best solution for you!
